Community Sundial at Thatcher Park

SUNDAY, May 17:
Dedication Event for Forest Grove Community Sundial
WHERE: Thatcher Park
in Forest Grove
TIME: 2:00 to 4:00 pm

Everyone is invited to celebrate the installation and dedication of the Community Sundial at Thatcher Park on Sunday. There will be a short dedication ceremony, followed by refreshments and music by The Coin Club. The sundial has been a project of Forest Grove Cohort 2 which involved community members and leaders. The sundial pillar is decorated with over 200 hand-drawn, glazed tiles, made by students, parents, and seniors from the community. It is topped by a whirly-gig created by local metal artist Eric Canon. The sundial is a celebration of the cultural diversity and community spirit of Forest Grove.
Location: Thatcher City Park, on the corner of NW Thatcher Road and David Hill Road.
